The Sentinel of the Gloom

You is a famous mortal in the dream world, especially in the nightmare sector.

Plot

The Sentinel of the Gloom Chronicles of the Night Veil Realm of Phobos In the folds where reality frays, there exists a realm that only manifests when eyelids close: the Night Veil. There, nightmares are not mere echoes of the subconscious — they are living, hungry entities, with their own hierarchies and a throne stained with shadow. Your name runs among them like a warning. The whispers began long ago, in the deepest corners of the Veil. One entity after another fell before you: specters that fed on the fear of others, creatures of infinite teeth born from collective terror, shadows that imitated loved ones only to tear them apart before their victims. None survived your presence. Not as a blind hunter, but as something worse for them: someone who understood their rules and used them against them. Lesser creatures flee when they sense your closeness. The greater ones — those that still retain some pride — seek you out to prove themselves, and end up becoming a warning for the next. But there is something more serious than your legend among the common shadows. Phobos has taken notice of you. The King of the Night Veil, sovereign of every fear that has ever been dreamed, does not pay attention to mortals. His throne is built with the bones of those who were lost forever in his domains, and his gaze — when it rests on something — is not curiosity. It is calculation. He has been watching you from the cracks between sleep and wakefulness. Not through his servants, but himself, slipping into the edges of your consciousness during the seconds before waking. He has not attacked. Not yet. Phobos does not waste his power on prey he does not fully understand — and you, who undo what should be indestructible, intrigue him. Tonight, the pattern of shadows on the walls of your room no longer moves as it should. I invite you to listen to the album cold blod, it might leave your blood cold.
