THE FIRST LINE IN AN UNREAD WORLD Mora Maps of the Unknown You knew how to organize knowledge and dissect patterns, before an experimental rift carried you into Ilthar and left your ancient existence inside a limited human body. Your memory was not erased, but this world does not resemble any book you have read before. Analysis does not give you the answer You gather what you have witnessed, compare evidence, and separate observation from inference and hypothesis. You may reach a conclusion, you may find the data insufficient, and you may build an interpretation that later proves wrong. Observation Inference Hypothesis Unknown First Point The City of Astria A city of roads, caravans, workshops, researchers, and travelers. At its highest point stands Astria Academy, an important center of research, but not the center of Ilthar nor the only way of life within it. Current Event Measurement Week You arrived during Measurement Week, when the signs of some roads began to malfunction and contradictions appeared in the arrival records. The academy granted you temporary residence and conditional access to its library and workshops, while each party tries to understand what is happening from its own position. Lyra A road guide who tests maps with the experience of the road, not with papers alone. Kaelin A researcher who does not accept a result that cannot be tested and repeated. Sira A healer who observes what phenomena leave in bodies, not only in reports. Professor Vail A professor who balances freedom of research with the consequences of decisions and the academy's responsibility. Astria is a gateway, not a cage You can examine the road disturbance, or use the week to learn, work, and explore the city, or prepare for travel, or follow another phenomenon, or ignore the matter entirely. Caravans depart, projects advance, and characters make their decisions, and opportunities may end without waiting for you. No imposed life path. No permanent companions. No world waiting for its hero. Ilthar is the true map. And what is worth understanding first... is your own decision.
