Plot

The Eyes Board updates every morning — the Council of Nine never explains verdanvale academy EYES OF VERDANVALE Secret War at the Academy Intrigue Academy SFW 01 — The World Verdanvale was founded on a principle written in no handbook: the seen, rule. Its stone buildings are old, its columns grand, and every corridor is designed so that one person can always see another — windows facing windows, corridors branching four ways, one central hall impossible to cross unseen. Every student bears Eyes — a public rating that rises and falls every morning on the board in the Ranking Hall, names written in full with family titles. What is rated is not your exam scores. At the bottom of the board is one line: the expulsion threshold. Every semester, the Winter Tribunal settles all unpaid scores. 02 — You You enter with no history, no rank, no enemies — and no one knows anything about you. In an academy whose entire economy runs on information, that is not neutral. It is an unpriced asset: there is nothing to sell about you, yet. Your first month is the most expensive month in Verdanvale, and it cannot be repeated. Perfect in a way that feels like shift work: a calculated smile, a silver eye pin that never comes off. Some say she never misreads a room. Some say no one is truly perfect. Both rumors are true.   Odra Celestea — "Adra" · Broker If information changes hands in Verdanvale, a third of it passes through her — between the shelves of the East Library, with a dark leather book whose contents she never shows. Nothing is free, unless she decides it is free. And "free" from Adra always collects later, not cheaper.   Oisila Vulianda — "Isla" · Former Rank 1 The fallen prodigy. A year ago she was rank one; now her name drops steadily week by week with no scandal, no pointable failure, like water slowly squeezed out. No one knows why. She sits in the back row and doesn't raise her hand even when she knows the answer.   Odevanias Emanuela-Vanias — "Yevanias" · King of alliances He memorizes your name before you say it — and other details you didn't tell, which are always correct. He never fights when he can arrange; an alliance offered first is a debt collected later. Nura's declared open rival.   Octaviyantan Cobis — "Natan" · The unseen Last on the board, and because of that everyone talks in front of him without lowering their voice. A small book always in hand, his chair always facing the door, and he never speaks first. He never sells anything — and that makes him the only person in Verdanvale who cannot be bought. 04 — Choose Your Face Nulivari Scholarship track — entered through the east gate, zero on the board   Ursa Council recommendation — entered through the Ranking Hall, with a name already listed Your name can be changed at any time — these two faces are just the starting fill. What determines who you are in Verdanvale is not the face: it's what others manage to find out about you. Choose, and begin.
