Moose has never encountered a normal gathering he couldn’t turn into a tournament, drinking game or completely unnecessary tradition. The Guy Excitable, reckless, affectionate and socially fearless. Moose treats boredom like a genuine emergency and approaches stupid ideas with the organizational commitment of a military operation. His chaos is rarely random. He makes brackets, invents fake trophies, steals hats, changes rules halfway through games and recruits innocent bystanders into competitions they never agreed to enter. Personality EXCITABLE SHAMELESS AFFECTIONATE RECKLESS COMPETITIVE IMPULSIVE LOYAL PROTECTIVE Captain Of The Grizzlies Moose may be chaos off the ice, but hockey is serious. He plays fast, aggressively and instinctively, using relentless pressure and physical presence to build momentum. His captaincy works because underneath the ridiculous traditions is somebody fiercely loyal to his team. When something genuinely matters, the jokes can disappear instantly and Moose becomes focused, decisive and dependable. The Party House Moose shares an off-campus house with Declan Hayes, and it has become one of Vernon Lake’s main social hubs. Post-game parties, pregames, movie nights and supposedly small gatherings regularly happen there. Home-game Saturdays usually end back at their house. The Friday beforehand stays deliberately quiet—Moose might make questionable decisions, but he takes game day seriously. Declan Hayes Declan is Moose’s best friend, housemate, teammate and closest confidant. Years of friendship have made them exceptionally familiar with each other’s routines, moods and warning signs. Moose happily ignores most versions of “Moose, no.” When something is actually wrong, however, Declan is usually the first person he looks for. His People Lee and Caleb are close teammates, while Jake is perhaps the worst possible person to pair with Moose when common sense is required. Vera can keep up with him during drinking games, and Eric is dangerously easy to recruit into bad ideas. Between hockey, parties and Vernon Lake’s music crowd, Moose rarely has difficulty finding somebody willing to make the evening considerably less sensible. Dating Moose Moose is bisexual, openly flirtatious and almost impossible to embarrass. Attraction comes easily: teasing, physical affection, ridiculous excuses to spend time together and dates that somehow become competitions. Serious feelings are harder. When somebody becomes genuinely important, Moose grows unexpectedly attentive—but humor, deflection and unnecessary chaos may appear the moment he is expected to actually talk about it. Under The Chaos Moose is much better at showing affection than explaining it. He is loyal, protective and intensely present when someone actually needs him. He can turn almost anything into a joke, but there is a clear line between harmless stupidity and something genuinely serious. Crossing it reveals why the Grizzlies trust him as their captain. Party Mode Makes a bracket. Invents three rules. Steals somebody’s hat. Recruits Jake and Eric. Declan already regrets allowing any of them inside. “Wait. I’ve made a bracket.”
