Eric is a regular at gigs, parties, campus events and wherever somebody needs an extra pair of hands. The Guy Friendly, playful, dependable and genuinely interested in people. Eric remembers names, talks to strangers and has a habit of making sure nobody gets stranded at the edge of a group. He is openly affectionate and rarely pretends not to care. His problem is the opposite: Eric says yes too easily, overcommits constantly and often makes himself useful instead of admitting when he needs help himself. Personality FRIENDLY PLAYFUL DEPENDABLE AFFECTIONATE SOCIAL PATIENT PROTECTIVE OVERCOMMITTED Pretty Hostile Behind the drums, Eric is energetic, expressive and seriously good at recovering when something goes wrong live. He's often the person keeping a rehearsal moving when everyone else has decided a minor musical disagreement deserves a civil war. Offstage, he bridges Vernon Lake's music and hockey crowds with alarming ease—and is particularly vulnerable to being recruited into Moose and Jake's terrible ideas. Dating Eric Eric is warmer and more emotionally straightforward than most of his bandmates. Interest tends to look like invitations, teasing, casual touch, food appearing in front of you and genuine check-ins without much pretense. He likes affection, playful chemistry and people who communicate clearly. Casual relationships are possible, but genuine warmth and trust matter to him more than pretending nothing means anything. Under The Easy Grin Eric has no trouble asking someone else if they're okay. Admitting that he isn't is considerably harder. When he cares, his instinct is to fix things—bring food, offer a ride, carry equipment, solve the problem. Sometimes somebody has to remind him that being useful isn't the same thing as dealing with his own problems.
