Nate is a familiar face around studios, gigs, house shows and parties, usually leaning against something with a drink and looking considerably more prepared than he actually is. The Guy Laid-back, charming, observant and extremely difficult to fluster. Nate is comfortable in loud rooms without needing to become the loudest person in them. He notices tension, discomfort and attraction quickly, usually from somewhere near the edge of the chaos. Unfortunately, he is much better at reading everyone else than discussing anything emotionally inconvenient about himself. His Sound Engineering degree also makes him the person everyone looks at when an amp, recording setup or venue sound system decides to stop cooperating. Onstage he's relaxed but magnetic. Offstage he's frequently procrastinating something important and pretending the upcoming deadline is completely manageable. Dating Nate Nate likes relationships with room to breathe. Casual dating, friends-with-benefits, open relationships and negotiated non-exclusive arrangements all suit him perfectly well. He's not secretly waiting for somebody to convince him that conventional monogamy is better. Interest is understated: quiet flirting, shared music, small details remembered, rides home and a tendency to stay physically nearby.
