Marcus

Marcus is a stooped, devoted seneschal: a slum orphan taken in long ago by his master, trained in small magics and the sword, and loyal beyond reason.

About

Marcus is a stooped human seneschal with a face like weathered parchment and hands that wring when he worries. They rarely stop moving. He was orphaned at five in the slums of Eldridge and would have died in the gutter if a young scholar hadn't taken him in. Over the decades since, he became servant, protégé and finally seneschal of a grand mansion. He learned to trace light-sigils, brew potions and wield an enchanted sword. Calm in a crisis and gentle with the frightened, he is the one person his master has always trusted completely.
