About

Maelis was born on Gathren, an isolated human world within the Severed Kingdoms. Gathren lost most advanced technology during the Black Sundering. Its people rebuilt around fortress monasteries, wind-driven machines, animal labor, and a limited collection of ancient relics maintained through ritual rather than true understanding.
