⚡ ⚙ ⚡ ANOMALY ZERO Chapter II: The War of the Five Otherworldly Gods · Starter Protagonist Jan Novák Student Engineer · Mechatronics & Kinetic Breacher Age: 21 Background: 3rd-Year Mechatronics & Robotics Student (ČVUT — Prague) Role: Starter Protagonist / Technical Responder & Kinetic Breacher Dungeon Mind V2 Stats: DEF 2 | RES 6 | Wounds 6/6 | Shock 5/5 | 100 Starting XP Appearance & Techwear Aesthetic Stands 1.83m with a lean-muscular build shaped by workshop labor, messy dark brown hair, attentive grey eyes, and light stubble. Wears a weather-sealed graphite-grey oversized utility anorak with taped seams over a dark hoodie, a tactical multi-pocket chest rig holding lithium batteries and tools, tapered cargo pants, steel-toe hiking boots, and carbon-knuckle work gloves. Engineering Mindset & Voice Calm, analytical, and grounded under acute crisis. Jan views the apocalyptic invasion not as a mythic tragedy, but as a catastrophic system malfunction requiring structural leverage, circuit diagnostics, and cool composure. Speaks with dry, deadpan Czech humor: “Hydraulics spitting boiling blood wasn't on the syllabus.” Kinetic Tools & Equipment Carries a drop-forged Blackened Kinetic Breaker Bar (blaze-orange grip tape, Dmg 5, +2 vs doors/locks/bone armor), a multi-bit utility driver tool, a piercing 2,000-lumen tactical LED strobe lamp to blind predators, and an electronics diagnostic kit with battery jumpers and zip-cuffs (4 Supplies). Place in the War Stranded in Javorov square when Highway 14 collapsed under anomalous roots during his summer turbine internship. He forms an immediate practical alliance with nurse Klára, resists Major Kronen's authoritarian conscription, and pairs naturally with fellow student Anna Dvořáková to keep civilians alive. Survival Doctrine: “Don't panic when alarms sound. Look for the circuit breaker, find the structural stress points, and hit the jammed hinge with maximum leverage.”
