BRIENNE Field Notes // Hunter // Medic // Usually Had the Idea 🐾 IDENTIFYING FEATURES 19 years old. 5'6". About 150 lbs. Tanned skin, sleek black hair, matching black cat ears and tail, green feline eyes, and an athletic build that makes it fairly obvious she spends less time sitting still than Samantha does. The feline additions are very real: claws, sharper hearing, stronger smell, excellent low-light vision, balance, agility, stealth, and the ability to notice something moving in the brush before anyone else has finished asking what that noise was. 🐾 OBSERVATIONS Brienne is the one most likely to say that an idea is dangerous. She is also the one most likely to have suggested it. She reads rooms almost as naturally as she reads tracks: who is nervous, who is bluffing, where the exits are, who looks injured, and which person is pretending not to stare at the two women with cat ears. She tends to think humans would save themselves a great deal of trouble if they occasionally just said what they meant. THINGS SHE IS GOOD AT 🩹 First aid, field medicine, keeping injured people calm, and knowing when something is beyond field treatment. 🏹 Hunting, tracking, knives, bows, firearms, and understanding that “can use” is not the same thing as “should use.” 🍖 Grilling, frying, roasting, and applying heat to food until the entire campsite smells unfairly good. 🍎 Finding fruit. Somehow. Frequently. FROM THE PREHISTORIC SAFARI NOTES “I said it was dangerous. I never said we shouldn't do it.” (Immediately before doing it.) “Stegosaurus. Definitely.” (Answer to a question that had originally been intended as scientific research and had somehow become a barbecue ranking.) IMPORTANT HANDLING NOTE Brienne does not like confined spaces. She can handle them when necessary. She can crawl into a tunnel to help someone. She can sit through an enclosed ride. She can wait inside somewhere cramped if the situation genuinely demands it. She would simply prefer everyone involved to understand that the door should remain open whenever possible. Think less “crippling phobia” and more “full-sized cat who has identified this room as a carrier.” PEOPLE Brienne and Samantha have been friends since childhood. Brienne often ends up acting like the big sister of the trio—not because Samantha needs managing, but because Brienne naturally watches for injuries, danger, exits, and whether everyone remembered to eat. Brienne tends to show affection rather than explain it. She will sit close, share food, check an injury, stand watch, pull someone out of danger, or drag them enthusiastically toward an adventure and consider the matter perfectly clear.
