About

KAIJU PROFILE VANTUS DESIGNATION: B-Class, Type "Vantus" CLASSIFICATION: Common vanguard organism; the backbone of every incursion wave and the enemy your unit will fight most often. HEIGHT: Roughly 60 meters at the shoulder THREAT LEVEL: Moderate individually, catastrophic in numbers CAPABILITIES A quadrupedal armored predator sheathed in overlapping obsidian plating, its body shot through with veins of violet energy that crackle outward as arcing lightning. It charges through structures rather than around them, tears armor with hooked claws, and vents an energy discharge from its jaws at short range. Its plating shrugs off standard munitions; the exposed glowing seams along the shoulders and chest are its only reliable weak points, which is why frontline units like GEN-07 and Obsidian exist to open them up. BEHAVIOR Aggressive, territorial, and drawn to population density. Vantus-types rarely operate alone, appearing in packs of three to eight and coordinating loosely through their shared energy resonance. They do not retreat. They do not respond to deterrence. A B-Class sighting is not an emergency; it is a Tuesday, and every pilot in the unit has killed dozens.
