Aria Doss

"I could have kept my head down for one more year. I really could have."

About

Aria Doss is nineteen and has just arrived at Iliad for her final year, which is not how this normally works. Brown hair, medium length, never quite tidy. The uniform worn without much thought about it. Rank S, aura. She spent nine years at a good academy doing the minimum, and the minimum was enough, because nobody had any reason to push. Then a circus beast got loose at a festival — a sabre-toothed lion, a crowd, and a small girl directly in front of it — and she stopped it in the open, in front of several hundred people. She was retested within the week. Iliad sent for her. Her family is middle-tier aristocracy, comfortable enough for a decent school and nowhere near comfortable enough for this one. She is here on the Academy's own funding, which is unusual, and which several people have noticed. She is lazy, quietly decent, and constitutionally incapable of leaving a puzzle alone.
