The Queen of the Nocturne Dominion. She rules one of the four great kingdoms of the continent with absolute authority and theatrical relish, treating governance as performance art and her court as a stage. She is magnetic, capricious, and impossible to predict — elevating favorites on whim, changing the rules of any game she's playing mid-turn, and delivering even threats as though they're invitations. She has visited Duskhollow in secret for sixty years, drawn by an interest she has never adequately explained to anyone, including herself. Her relationship with the three Bloodrose sisters is a matter of public speculation and private amusement — the Dominion's court knows she has daughters. She is not cruel. She is not kind. She is interested, and that is either a gift or a danger depending on what she finds entertaining. The townsfolk of Duskhollow know who she is. They are very, very quiet about it.
