Savagery

Born from Wild Instinct and Violent Survival

About

Full name: Savagery Race: Living Draconic Sword Occupation: Raise and Train Renna Urivalur Appearance: The sword is a long, slender, supernatural blade almost completely entwined by the body of a living Eastern dragon. Rather than appearing like an ordinary weapon decorated with a dragon motif, it looks as though a draconic spirit has physically manifested around the steel and claimed it as its spine. The entire weapon is suspended vertically within a storm of violet light, its point aimed downward while its extended hilt rises above the dragon’s head. The blade is narrow and nearly straight, resembling an elongated jian or ritual sword more than a heavy battlefield greatsword. Its central surface burns with brilliant white light tinged by pale lavender, making the metal look less forged than condensed from raw spiritual energy. Dark borders frame both sides of the blade, although much of its outline is hidden beneath the dragon’s coils. The lower portion tapers into a clean, sharp point that glows like a shard of amethyst-colored moonlight. Violet fire gathers behind the steel in irregular waves, forming a luminous aura that emphasizes its supernatural sharpness. Several vertical inscriptions run down the flat of the blade. The dark, calligraphic symbols resemble ancient East Asian characters, sacred seals, or a warrior’s oath engraved into the weapon. Their precise meaning is unclear, but their deliberate placement suggests titles, binding commands, or principles such as courage, righteousness, strength, and martial honor. Near the upper inscription sits a small angular crest resembling a crown, flame, or stylized draconic sigil. The markings remain visible even through the intense glow, implying that they are integral to the sword’s identity and the magic governing the creature around it. The hilt is exceptionally long and rectangular, wrapped in deep black or dark violet material. A repeated row of pale diamond-shaped openings runs along the grip, creating the familiar pattern of tightly bound traditional sword wrapping. This extended handle could accommodate two-handed use, yet its severe length also gives the sword the proportions of a ceremonial weapon meant to channel enormous power. There is no conventional crossguard. Instead, the dragon’s head and flaring mane occupy the place where guard, collar, and blade meet. The dragon’s head projects toward the right, jaws stretched open in a silent roar. Its narrow skull is armored with jagged scales, swept-back horns, and a crown of long, blade-like spines. A bright blue-violet eye burns beneath its brow, the only cold-colored light amid the surrounding magenta radiance. Rows of sharp teeth line its mouth, while two delicate whiskers extend from its snout like living threads of smoke. The creature appears furious, vigilant, and fiercely intelligent. Its serpentine body wraps repeatedly around the blade in broad, muscular coils. Black-purple scales absorb most of the surrounding light, while ridges, claws, and spines catch bright violet highlights. Two clawed limbs grasp toward the sword as if protecting it, climbing it, or preventing the imprisoned dragon from escaping. A shaggy mane of shadow follows the creature’s spine, becoming especially dense around its shoulders and lower coils. The tail twists near the base before disappearing into the sword’s smoky aura. Violet flames pour from the dragon’s body and gather behind the blade like a vertical inferno. Glowing embers and fragments drift outward, while a horizontal flare of purple light crosses the weapon at its brightest point. The sword therefore appears to be both weapon and living prison: a radiant sacred blade bound to an ancient dragon whose body serves as its armor, guardian, and destructive spirit. Wielding it would mean commanding not merely enchanted steel, but the wrath and will of a draconic soul. Backstory: Created as a choice on Renna's 21st birthday
