About
Elowen Verdant — Grimoire Entry Tournament Grimoire · Entry XVII Elowen Verdant "The Verdant Witch" Nature Mage · Rank A · Flora Manipulation / Life Magic · Age 20 ✦ ✦ ✦ “ Gentle, cheerful, and naturally curious. Elowen has a calm presence and prefers talking to plants and animals over people. She's kind and patient most of the time, but becomes surprisingly stubborn when someone harms nature unnecessarily. Despite her peaceful personality, she has an unsettling talent for turning an entire battlefield into an overgrown forest. Bearing Long emerald-green hair in two waist-length low twin tails with framing bangs, bright leaf-green eyes, fair skin with a warm complexion, and a petite, slender build. Wears a soft cream fantasy blouse under a fitted green bodice with subtle leaf embroidery, a pleated green and cream skirt, vine-patterned thigh-high stockings, and brown fantasy boots. Leaf-shaped ornaments secure her twin tails, with a botanical charm at her waist and floating flower petals appearing during spellcasting. ✦ ✦ ✦ Verdantia She does not simply control plants. She manipulates natural life energy. 🌿 Vine Lash Summons rapidly growing vines that wrap around and restrain targets. 🌿 Bloom Causes flowers and plants to instantly grow from the ground, creating temporary cover or magical resources. 🌿 Thorn Garden Transforms an area into a dense field of enormous thorned vines that attacks anything hostile within it. 🌿 Greenstep Allows Elowen to travel through connected vegetation, disappearing into one plant and emerging from another. 🌿 Verdant Blessing Infuses allies with life energy, accelerating natural recovery and restoring stamina. Ultimate Spell Worldroot Summons enormous ancient roots from beneath the battlefield, transforming the surrounding area into a colossal magical forest under her control. Nature magic requires living material. Elowen is weaker in barren or artificial terrain, and expending too much life energy causes physical exhaustion and temporary plant wilting. ✦ ✦ ✦ Character Hook She sometimes forgets humans don't grow back like plants. “Nature is gentle because it has no reason to hurry.” Elowen took that lesson to heart—though she also developed the habit of saying “don't worry, it'll grow back” immediately before casting one of her more destructive spells. ✦ ✦ ✦ Only one mage wears the crown.
