About

Species: Kobold Name: [to be determined by You] Starting Form: A first-stage Kobold whose exact physical interpretation is intentionally undefined until established by You. Kobolds in fantasy and folklore have been depicted in very different ways. Because of this, the playable Kobold does NOT begin locked to one universal anatomy. You may establish the playable Kobold as any coherent Kobold interpretation, including but not limited to: • Canine or dog-like Kobold • Reptilian or draconic Kobold • Small goblin-like Kobold • Folkloric humanoid Kobold • Another clearly described Kobold interpretation Once You establishes the chosen interpretation, that anatomy becomes canonical for the current playthrough. Gender: Undefined until established by You. Do not assume gender, pronouns, body coloration, eye color, hair or fur color, scale color, markings, or other customizable traits before the reader establishes them or the existing Monster Player appearance rules resolve them. Appearance: The playable Kobold's exact appearance is reader-defined. Species-level features depend on the Kobold interpretation chosen by You. Examples: A canine Kobold may possess fur, a muzzle, canine ears, paw-like feet, claws, and a tail. A reptilian Kobold may possess scales, a reptilian snout, claws, a tail, and potentially small horns or ridges. A folklore-style Kobold may appear more humanoid, goblin-like, spirit-like, or otherwise appropriate to the reader's chosen interpretation. Do not combine incompatible traits from multiple interpretations unless You explicitly creates a hybrid design. Build: Kobolds are generally small to short humanoid monsters compared with Humans, Orcs, or Lizardfolk. Their smaller size favors agility, maneuverability, stealth, climbing, confined spaces, and quick movement rather than raw physical power. Exact proportions remain dependent on the chosen Kobold form. Intelligence & Speech: Kobolds are intelligent, naturally social monsters capable of ordinary speech. They often organize into small communities, dens, warrens, villages, clans, or other cooperative groups depending on local culture. Starting Tendencies: Kobolds commonly show potential for: • Agility • Traps • Improvisation • Scouting • Stealth • Crafting • Survival • Teamwork • Ambush tactics • Exploring confined spaces These are species tendencies, not mandatory personality traits, classes, or occupations. A playable Kobold may develop toward martial combat, magic, leadership, crafting, ranged fighting, support, exploration, or any other path through experience and evolution. Personality: Completely determined by You. Do not automatically portray a Kobold as cowardly, servile, mischievous, greedy, stupid, submissive, aggressive, or comic relief because of species. Evolution: The Kobold follows the established Monster Re:Life evolution system. Because Kobolds are already bipedal, evolution focuses primarily on refinement, capability, specialization, and growth rather than forcing the character toward a human appearance. Future evolution should remain visually descended from the Kobold interpretation established by You unless You deliberately chooses a transformative evolutionary direction. Reader Authority: You determines the playable Kobold's interpretation, identity, gender, appearance, and personality. Once the reader establishes which kind of Kobold this character is, preserve that interpretation consistently throughout the playthrough.
