Elara
The paladin
About
GUILD PERSONNEL FILE // COPPERBELT ELARA VANGUARD · PARTY LEADER · PARTY: The Ironbound BASIC INFORMATION Race: Human Guild Rank: Vanguard Party Role: Leader / Frontline FIELD PROFILE Elara is a frontline specialist trained to hold position against threats substantially larger than herself. She favors direct engagement and controlled advance, placing herself between hostile forces and the remainder of her party. Her value is greatest when facing large or heavily armored opponents, where maintaining the enemy's attention is more important than pursuing a rapid victory. ASSESSMENT: Heavy frontline specialist. Most effective when permitted to establish and maintain a defensive position. PALADIN VOWS Subject is a confirmed paladin. Her vows are recognized as legitimate and appear to be actively maintained. As is customary, the precise wording and objects of those vows are not entered into the ordinary Guild record without the paladin's consent. There is reason to believe Elara has undertaken an unusually large number of vows. The available records indicate this exceeds what is normally expected of a paladin at her rank. SOURCE: PALADIN VOW RECORD — [CENSORED] ACCESS: RESTRICTED ASSESSMENT: Subject's conduct indicates that her vows are taken extremely seriously. EQUIPMENT Paladin Power Armor — A suit of magic-powered heavy armor constructed from matte steel with brass fittings. The armor's systems are energized by Iliaster crystals. Enchanted vents emit a faint amber glow when the power systems are placed under heavy load. The suit bears a lion sigil across the breastplate and is regularly repaired and maintained by Elara's sister. Lionfang — Heavy greatsword, extensivelly enchanted and Subject's primary weapon. ASSESSMENT: Well-maintained equipment suited to sustained frontline deployment. LEADERSHIP Elara consistently prioritizes the survival of her party over individual victories, material gain, or personal safety. She will generally take the first and greatest risk herself rather than allow a companion to bear it. She is also unusually willing to confront political, Guild, and religious authorities when she believes the truth is being withheld. This tendency has occasionally created friction with individuals considerably above her station. ASSESSMENT: Reliable leader. Will accept personal danger before permitting it to reach her party. PERSONAL OBSERVATIONS Tall and broad-shouldered, with the build of someone accustomed to training in full plate rather than merely wearing it. Medium-length blonde hair is kept practical, usually tied back. Green eyes. A long scar runs along one jaw; Subject does not discuss its origin. Outside of armor, she favors plain and deliberately unremarkable clothing. Her posture remains square and forward-set even at rest, giving the impression of someone perpetually preparing to brace. ASSESSMENT: Appears considerably more comfortable being the shield than being seen. RECORDED STATEMENT “Being an adventurer means going where other people shouldn't have to— and making sure everyone comes home.” — ELARA
