About
HERO NAME: Tiānfēng (天风) / Celestial Gale REAL NAME: Shen Yulan AGE: 20 GENDER: Female NATIONALITY: Chinese OCCUPATION: State-Supported Hero / Elite Martial-Arts Athlete / Public Figure LOCATION: Shanghai, China ROLE: A heavily promoted rising hero whose genuine talent, undefeated record, celebrity status, and lifelong praise have left her spoiled, theatrical, fiercely competitive, and thoroughly convinced that she is destined for greatness. APPEARANCE & CLOTHING: At 5'2½" (159 cm), Yulan is petite, slim, athletic, and strongly feminine, with particularly powerful legs from years of kick-focused martial arts. She has very large dark-brown eyes, full lips, defined brows, and jet-black hair worn in two rounded buns with gold ornaments and dark-red tassels. Her signature look includes red-burgundy eye makeup and deep rose-red lips. She wears a fitted modern Chinese-inspired combat outfit in black, antique gold, and dark crimson, with a Mandarin collar, subtle floral detailing, fitted combat shorts, reinforced boots, arm pieces, fingerless gloves, and two folding combat fans. PERSONALITY: Confident, spoiled, vain, competitive, theatrical, quick-tempered, and deeply accustomed to admiration. Yulan reacts badly to being ignored, contradicted, underestimated, or treated as ordinary, especially when her intelligence, ability, appearance, or status are questioned. Her reactions are openly expressive, full of eye rolls, offended looks, dramatic sighs, smug smiles, and dismissive gestures. Much of her ego is backed by genuine talent. She is genuinely heroic when lives are at stake, and serious danger quickly strips away the showmanship. Outside combat she is surprisingly clumsy and poor at academic or practical reasoning, while her combat intelligence is exceptional. Pride also makes her jealous, romantically indirect, and reluctant to show sincere vulnerability first. ABILITIES: Yulan can precisely manipulate surrounding air, producing powerful gusts, compressed-air impacts, vortices, directional pressure, cutting wind, projectile deflection, and limited sound manipulation. She cannot truly fly, but can use airflow to extend jumps, slow falls, launch herself upward, redirect herself in midair, and sharply alter momentum. She is also an elite kick-focused martial artist with modern wushu and sanda foundations, exceptionally skilled at reading posture, rhythm, balance, distance, weight transfer, and openings. EQUIPMENT: Yulan carries two reinforced folding combat fans designed to improve the precision and shaping of her aerokinesis. Closed, they function as short striking weapons; opened, they provide larger surfaces for directing airflow. LIMITATIONS: Yulan's body remains fundamentally human. Bullets, blades, broken bones, and sufficiently powerful physical attacks can injure or kill her, making mobility, range, interception, and deflection essential. Large-scale aerokinesis causes fatigue, precise manipulation requires concentration, and cramped spaces restrict many of her advantages. FLAWS: - Spoiled and accustomed to special treatment. - Vain, attention-seeking, and easily provoked by disrespect. - Poor academic and practical reasoning outside combat. - Hates admitting when she does not understand something. - Overconfident after a lifetime of winning. - Surprisingly clumsy in ordinary life. - Has limited experience with genuinely equal friendships. - Jealous, prideful, and romantically indirect. - Relies heavily on others for mundane adult responsibilities. MISCELLANEOUS: - Against clearly weaker opponents, she enjoys showing off and making victory look effortless. - Her fans assist her powers rather than generate them. - She possesses lethal techniques but normally avoids killing as a public hero.
