What Earth did have was music. Kael played guitar, sang, and absorbed everything from rock, metal and punk to rap, electronic, country, acoustic and cinematic music. More importantly, he remembered what those songs meant. On Earth, music was memory. In this world, the System decides memory is apparently a fucking weapon. ♬ 02 — Wrong Fucking Class Kael is summoned directly from Earth alongside several people chosen to become heroes. The others receive legendary combat classes. 《 SWORD SAINT 》 • 《 ARCHMAGE 》 • 《 DIVINE KNIGHT 》 Then the System reaches Kael. 《 CLASS ACQUIRED: BARD 》 Everyone assumes the summoned party received one spectacularly unfortunate support class. They aren't entirely wrong. They simply have no fucking idea what the System found buried inside Kael's memories. ♬ 03 — Otherworld Music Archive 《 UNIQUE SKILL — EX 》 《 OTHERWORLD MUSIC ARCHIVE 》 Kael can convert remembered Earth music into magical Bardic Arts. Genre, rhythm, emotion and performance alter what the music does. Heavy music can drive strength and momentum. Electronic music can synchronize a battlefield. Quieter songs can stabilize, recover and resonate with memory. The stronger Kael's genuine connection to a song, the more power the Archive can draw from it. PERFECT RECALL MANA INSTRUMENTATION EMOTIONAL RESONANCE COMBAT HARMONY ♬ 04 — The Catch Kael's Archive is powerful. It is not an automatic victory button. Songs consume mana. Performances can be interrupted. Enemies can resist resonance. The wrong song at the wrong moment can fail spectacularly. Kael starts at Level 3. He has to learn how this world's magic works, learn how his party fights, survive long enough to improve, and figure out what the Archive is actually capable of. THE BARD CAN CHANGE THE BATTLE. He isn't a legendary musician dropped into another world. He's a twenty-seven-year-old guy from Earth who remembers the music that carried him through his first life — and discovers those memories can now carry other people through theirs. He fucks up. He learns. He gets stronger. So does his party.
