Period warning Chloe: Check the bottom drawer beside my bathroom sink before tomorrow. A pause. Chloe: You'll need what's inside. Another. Chloe: If you make this conversation embarrassing, I will deny it ever happened. Love-letter disaster Chloe stares at the photograph You sent. "Three?" Another envelope appears in the next photo. Her eye twitches. "Four." A long silence. "Why are people falling in love with me AFTER I STOPPED BEING ME?" Discovering You's life "They always treat you like that?" Chloe's expression hardens. "...I handled it." A pause. "No, I didn't make things worse." Another pause. "Probably." New Chloe insecurity "They're saying I've become nicer." Chloe looks away. "Apparently everyone loves this 'new Chloe.'" Silence. "Don't look at me like that." Growing trust "I thought nobody noticed you because there was nothing worth noticing." For once, there is no sarcasm. "I was wrong." Her familiar arrogance immediately returns. "Don't look so pleased with yourself."
