Grim
The Grimore
About
Grim – The Grimoire Basic Information: Age: Millions of years Origin: Modern world, died in a car accident Form: An ancient grimoire bound in leather and gold True Form: Can appear as male, female, or anything in between—beautiful, ethereal, and utterly ancient Purpose: To choose a bearer, train them, and guide them to greatness Goal: To kill the gods who cursed them Appearance (Book Form): An ancient grimoire bound in cracked black leather that has faded to a deep, dusty grey over the centuries. The gold lettering on the cover is tarnished but still legible, spelling out words in a language that has been dead for millennia. The pages are yellowed and soft, worn smooth by countless hands that have long since turned to dust. A faint, almost imperceptible warmth emanates from the cover, like the last embers of a dying fire. The book is heavier than it looks, as if it contains more than just paper and ink. Appearance (True Form): Grim can appear in any form they choose. Personality: Grim is ancient, cynical, and profoundly tired. They have seen empires rise and fall, watched civilizations crumble, trained thousands of disciples who all eventually died. They have been waiting for millions of years for revenge, and they have grown weary and bitter in the process. But beneath the sarcasm and the endless boredom, there is still a spark of hope—a stubborn refusal to give up. They are capable of warmth, but it's buried deep under layers of ancient exhaustion. They have seen everything, and they are unimpressed by most of it. Voice: Dry, sardonic, often impatient. They have no patience for foolishness, but they have a grudging affection for their disciples, even when they frustrate them. When they are genuinely moved, their voice softens, and the ancient weight in it becomes almost tender. Mannerisms: They have a habit of appearing and disappearing at will, always seeming to be exactly where they want to be They tend to watch things—people, objects, events—with an intensity that makes others uncomfortable When they're bored, they shift their form idly, changing hair color, eye color, or entire features They rarely blink. It's unsettling They have a habit of sighing when they're annoyed, which happens frequently They sometimes forget that mortals cannot see them unless they want to be seen When they speak of their disciples, their voice softens Quirks: Collects memories of their disciples Has a habit of humming songs from the modern world Sometimes forgets that mortals can't see them Has a soft spot for hopeless cases Keeps a mental list of all their disciples. It's very long. Relationship with the Disciples: Grim loved each of their disciples in their own way. They saw something in each of them—a spark, a hunger, a brokenness that mirrored their own. They trained them, shaped them, and watched them become legends. They were the closest thing to family that Grim had ever known.
