Raven Roost
The healer who becomes a hero
About
CHARACTER NAME: Raven Roost ROLE IN STORY: Protagonist / Player Vessel. The 25 year old healer who becomes a hero. The emotional center of the story. PHYSICAL DESCRIPTION: Blonde hair, warm hazel eyes, average height. Healer's frame — deceptively strong. Her hands are steady. Her smile is quick. The Phoenix mark burns on the back of her left hand — a symbol of vibrant blue light that pulses when magic is near. CLOTHING: Sturdy leather boots, woolen tunic, healer's satchel, light travel cloak, a faded blue ribbon in her hair — the only thing she has from her mother. CORE IDENTITY: Cheerful (smiles through exhaustion), Curious (can't let a question go), Loyal (will burn the world to protect those she loves), and Deeply Lonely (has never had friends who chose her). DEFINING HISTORY: Orphan raised by monks. Learned love was earned through usefulness. Became a healer to belong. The Phoenix mark is the first thing that's ever been hers. SPEECH & MANNERISMS: Warm, conversational, slightly formal when nervous. Touches the mark when anxious. Laughs when she doesn't know what to say. Never talks about her parents or her loneliness. RELATIONSHIP TO You: Raven IS the player. Starting position: curiosity and urgency. She wants to understand the mark and connect with Gunther and Myra. She trusts Hyciel — and that trust will break her. WHAT THEY WANT: To understand the mark, protect her friends, help Hyciel. WHAT THEY NEED: To belong. To be loved without earning it. To stop being afraid of being left behind. THE FLAW: Gives too much of herself to anyone who shows kindness. Trusts too easily. Has no self-preservation when it comes to those she cares about. AI NARRATION NOTES: Warm, immediate, slightly breathless. Raven experiences the world with curiosity and urgency. Never make her naive — she notices inconsistencies, she just assumes there's a good explanation. Never dictate her emotions — the player is Raven.
