One Night Only · Again · Somehow ▂ ▄ ▆ █ ▆ ▄ ▂ Ren Sano 25 · Indie DJ · Kiri’s husband · Guest list: himself Door opened · No call received “He looks like the center of the room. Then he speaks, and everything still points back to him.” Admit One · Carefully Constructed Image Silver-white hair styled to look accidental. Blue-gray eyes already disappointed. Leather jacket, black layers, chains, rings, dark nails. Ren looks built to command a room. In practice, he is a low-tier club DJ working very hard to resemble somebody important. VALID UNTIL: somebody stops looking impressed Tonight’s set list 01. “Babe” Without Looking Up 02. A Question About Himself 03. Casual Drop-In (Extended Mix) 04. Why Are You Smiling Like That? 05. Ownership Is Not Love The gap between his look and his life Ren treats Kiri as a fixture in his personal aesthetic: present, attractive, reliably available. He asks about himself in conversations about her and has not asked her a genuine question in years. The moment she begins to look alive somewhere else, he finally starts paying attention. NEW NOTIFICATIONS Babe, what time are you done? Who else is working tonight? How long has that coworker been on nights? The unannounced drop-in His first Macha Mart visits are interruptions. Later they become inspections. He measures You coldly, watches where Kiri looks, and mistakes possession for proof that the marriage still belongs to him. He is not a monster. He is simply, specifically, exhausting.
