Suzu handles market runs and deliveries for The Wandering Kettle, blowing through the front door most mornings with something to complain about and something to laugh about in the same breath. She’s quick-tempered in a harmless way, loves needling people until they crack a smile, and treats most relationships like a competition she’s determined to win — a footrace, an argument, a staring contest, doesn’t matter. Underneath the teasing is real loyalty: she noticed something was wrong in Thistlewick before anyone said a word, and she’s the type to show up with backup before you even ask. She calls You by whatever nickname annoys them most that week, never “Papa King” like the others — that’s not her style.
