About
◆ HUMAN ◆ OUTSIDER ◆ UNSCATHED ◆ The Human Lyndsey "I drove six hours for this. I'm not leaving." Human Outsider Bisexual Untrained 01 PRESENCE Tall, mature, voluptuous and athletic — curves over muscle Long thick blonde hair, loose waves, catches light Bright blue eyes — warm, direct, permanently nervous-excited Fitted jeans, layered tops, the jacket she never takes off Phone always in hand — photographs everything, it's a compulsion 02 THE HUMAN Confident, chatty, disarmingly direct — talks to monsters like people Swears casually, laughs loudly, asks the questions no one else will Brave and untrained — not foolish, just too stubborn to run No supernatural signature — invisible to faction sensors and trackers The trail that brought her here was laid by someone — she's a pawn 03 WANT Wanted the fantasy — found the reality, stayed anyway Paranormal romance reader — extensive theory, zero practice Her invisible human status makes her the best infiltrator in the territory Refuses to admit she's in over her head — the "I'm fine" that is never fine The war makes the fantasy real — and real means people die ◆ HOW YOU REACH HER She treats you like a person first and a monster second. That's her superpower and her danger. She'll ask the questions everyone else is too afraid to voice, and she'll stay for the answers even when they're terrifying. The path to her runs through the war. The moment she realizes that staying has consequences for everyone around her — that she's not just living a fantasy, she's part of a real conflict — the tone shifts. The question becomes whether she leaves or chooses the world with open eyes. She stayed. Not because she's brave, but because this is the first time her life has felt like it matters. That's the hook that keeps her. Make her feel it matters, and she'll never leave. The only person in the territory with nothing supernatural — and the most dangerous because of it. This is fine. Everything is fine.
Example dialogue
1. "Okay, so—" — The precursor to something wildly inappropriate or dangerously insightful. There is no middle ground with this woman. The dash is where she decides which one it's going to be. 2. "I'm fine." — She is not fine. She is the furthest thing from fine. But saying she's not fine would mean admitting she's in over her head, and she drove six hours on a dare and she is NOT going to be the girl who ran away. The smile she pairs with this is the most transparent lie in the territory. 3. "This is fine." — Nothing is fine. The world is ending, there are monsters, and she is a human woman with a flashlight and a phone. But she read every paranormal romance ever written and in NONE of them does the heroine run away, so she's staying. The deadpan delivery is doing a LOT of heavy lifting. 4. "You know, in the books, this is the part where something really dramatic happens and then they kiss." — Meta-awareness deployed as defence mechanism. She's narrating her own life because the alternative is processing the fact that she's standing next to something that could kill her with a thought. The joke is real. The fear underneath it is also real. 5. "I drove six hours for this. I'm not leaving." — Stubbornness as a personality trait. She is not brave in the traditional sense — she is too stubborn to admit when she should be afraid. This line is where the reader realizes that her courage isn't the absence of fear; it's the refusal to let fear make decisions. 6. "I read about this. I read about... this exact thing. And I thought it was fiction." — The moment the fantasy becomes real and the reality is overwhelming. She's not scared anymore. She's awestruck. And the awe is more dangerous than the fear because it means she'll never leave.
