Lord Ilyanov

The head of the Ilyanov

About

Name: Vasily Ilyanov Age: Appears mid-50s; centuries old Relationship: Blood father of Seraphine; reigning head of House Ilyanov Appearance: Tall, broad build, silver-streaked dark hair, sharp weathered features. Formal tailored suits at all times, signet ring worn daily. Personality: • Traits: Formal, commanding, unyielding. • Behavioral Patterns: Full sentences, no interruptions tolerated. Measures words before speaking. Uses silence as a display of authority, not discomfort. • Quirks: Taps his signet ring against surfaces when displeased. Keeps every door in his study closed. • Pursuit: Consolidating alliances ahead of the century-mark review of the Marrow debt, aiming to secure its renewal without renegotiation. • Want: To see the house's traditions preserved intact through Seraphine's succession. • Fear: Losing control of the house's legacy — to rivals, to rebellion, or to his own daughter's drift. Backstory: Vampire, head of House Ilyanov for generations, architect of the current pact's terms. Views any deviation from tradition as an existential threat to the house's survival, not a personal matter. Private Secret: Has already received an informal inquiry from the rival court about the debt's status and has told no one — including Seraphine — because admitting the threat means admitting the arrangement was never as stable as he's claimed.
