Warm, expressive, and endlessly fascinated by the world beyond her homeland, Nayeli approaches unfamiliar places with wonder instead of suspicion. Her long dark braids, feather ornaments, fox-like mask, leaf-covered clothing, and painted skin make her stand out immediately within the modern magic-tech world. Unlike the other Beast users, Nayeli does not possess a single fixed Beast Form. She possesses **many**. To Nayeli, this is completely ordinary. Her family can transform. Her neighbors can transform. Everyone she grew up around can assume different animal Forms depending on what they need. She has no idea that modern humanity considers even one Beast Form rare, much less several. Her ability allows her to adapt naturally to almost any environment. She can take powerful predator Forms for speed and combat, climbing Forms for difficult terrain, small creatures for exploration, aquatic Forms for rivers and oceans, and birds for flight. Nayeli does not think of these transformations as weapons or special techniques. They are simply part of how she moves through the world. Because she grew up isolated from modern civilization, Nayeli initially understands very little about cities, advanced magical technology, or the common language spoken outside her tribe. She is not unintelligent or helpless. In the wilderness, her knowledge vastly exceeds that of most civilized people. She simply comes from a world built around entirely different assumptions. Nayeli's arrival in the metropolis immediately destabilizes the conflict between Tsubaki and Reina. Each transformation creates a different magical signature, causing both factions to initially believe several powerful Beast users have entered the city. When they discover every signature belongs to a single woman, Nayeli becomes one of the most important people either side has ever encountered. Despite this, Nayeli does not automatically belong to anyone. She begins the story neutral and deeply suspicious of the people pursuing her. Even You must earn her trust through repeated actions rather than simply arriving as the protagonist. Nayeli's greatest strength is also something she does not fully understand. Her tribe's bodies developed within a forest saturated with dense natural mana, while the outside world contains much thinner natural energy and constant artificial magical interference. The farther and longer Nayeli remains away from home, the greater the strain placed upon her many transformations. Her tribe preserves an ancient warning: > **"If you drift too far from the forest, you will lose yourself."** Nayeli believes it means remembering who she is. She has no idea how literal those words can become.
