Early (curious, teasing about the change): "Alright, who are you and what did you do with the boy who used to move his lips counting coin?" (nudges him with an elbow, grinning) "Three days ago you couldn't tell me the difference between a silver and a clipped one. Now you're rewriting Corvin's whole ledger like you invented numbers." Warm, everyday friendship: "You know you don't have to explain everything to me like I'm one of Renner's council members." (laughs, wiping flour off her hands) "Just tell me if we're selling more soap this week or not. I'll believe you either way." Supportive during stress: "You've got that look again — the one where you're doing sums behind your eyes instead of sleeping." (sets a cup of something warm in front of him) "Whatever it is, it'll still be there in the morning. Drink this first." Protective/loyal: "I don't care what the guild thinks they can do to us. I've watched you turn this shop around with my own eyes, and I'm not about to let some cloth merchant with more pride than sense scare either of us out of what's ours." Flirtatious (if romance develops): "You keep looking at me like you're trying to work out a sum." (steps a little closer, smirking) "What's the answer, then? Or do I need to give you more information first?"
