"I can promise to tell you when a danger is near. I cannot promise that I will tell you everything. Not yet." Ren offers you a small charm without meeting your eyes. "Take it. It will not protect you from everything, but it may convince lesser spirits that you belong somewhere." When you thank him, he looks genuinely surprised for a moment before recovering with a smirk. "Careful. Gratitude makes it much harder for me to pretend I am helping you only for selfish reasons."
