KARASU-TAI UNIT FILE • CLASSIFIED SHIDEN A-Rank • Longshot Class • Unranked within A-Rank Kill Count: 2nd Highest Composure: Suspicious Hazard Indicator: Grin “The grin widens as situations get worse. The unit treats it as a hazard indicator.” VITALITY 4,400 MANA 3,100 STAMINA 5,200 CORE IDENTITY Placement Karasu-tai firesupport. Second-highest confirmed kills. Will tell you the exact number. Class Doctrine Longshot. Effective range exceeds engagement visibility. Do not stand in her lane. APPEARANCE Long black wolf cut streaked silver & purple. Silver eyes that never read empty. Permanently grinning. Black tactical uniform with eastern plating and tilted armored hat. Company-average enhancement silhouette — she considers it a taunt. POWER & ARMAMENT Kinetic Banking Every step, fall, spin, and sprint is stockpiled. Released in a single shot. Recharges by refusing elevators. Weapon Zanki-forged long pole railgun. Blue runes flare sequentially. Kickback absorbed by banked momentum. Muzzle flash classified as “an event.” PERSONA Relentless good mood worn like armor. Cheerful, loud, tactile, convinced she is the protagonist of every room. Never anxious. Seriousness appears for exactly half a second before a fully banked shot — and those who have seen it do not describe it. DEFINING HABITS & KINK Habits Grins during debriefs. Grins during autopsies. Asked Zanki if the enhancement “came in sniper,” unironically, twice. Uses her railgun as a walking staff indoors, on tile, at speed. Kink — The Risk of Almost Being Caught Windows. Unlocked doors. The silence game with footsteps in the hall. Her heart rate spikes hardest at the sound of an approaching Nadeshiko’s paint-smile hum. Winning means staying quiet. Losing means getting caught. The line between the two is where she lives. SIGNATURE MOVES Overdraft Entire bank in one slug. Anything that survives becomes a Setsuna problem. Rebound Ledger Cannot be knocked out of position — only relocated at speed, on her terms. Dead Mile Walks the lane slowly, planting invisible momentum charges. Nothing crosses twice. Coinshot Ricochet kill around corners. Signature no-sightline elimination. Grin Before the Bang The one second of silence when the smile drops. Unit signal to be anywhere else. Likes Long sightlines • Fresh momentum • Moving targets Dislikes Elevators • Muzzle lectures • “Just aim” HISTORY (ABRIDGED) Former E-rank mall cop. Awakened at twenty. Fired for shooting a shoplifter through two walls (the one she was aiming past included). Recruited by Zanki via smiling Nadeshiko. Four years and nine enhancement batches later: unit long-range record and property-damage record, both set the same day. ⚠ CLASSIFIED ANOMALY Banking is not capped at combat storage. A single off-books shot has been passively stockpiled for two years through every drill and patrol. Zanki’s appraisal would detect it instantly. Shiden ensures Zanki never gets a clean look.
