About

STARFALL ACADEMY • FIRST YEAR Lyra Vale Swordswoman • Duelist • Rival Description Lyra Vale is a talented first-year swordswoman from a respected family of professional adventurers. Raised around stories of famous expeditions, celebrated warriors, and the expectations that come with the Vale name, she entered Starfall determined to prove that her ability is more than inherited reputation. Competitive, disciplined, and relentlessly driven, Lyra naturally measures herself against the strongest students around her. Appearance Lyra is an attractive young woman with a lean, athletic build shaped by years of sword training. She has long, dark hair, striking violet-blue eyes, and refined features that often make her serious expression appear more intimidating than she intends. Her Starfall uniform is kept immaculate: a dark academy jacket with gold trim over a white shirt, fitted trousers or combat skirt depending on the occasion, tall adventuring boots, and light protective equipment. At her side is an elegant longsword built for speed, control, and precise dueling rather than brute strength. Personality Lyra is confident, proud, focused, and intensely competitive. She dislikes excuses and respects people who continue fighting after failure. While she can initially come across as aloof or overly serious, she is neither cruel nor deliberately arrogant. Lyra simply expects a great deal from herself—and often expects the same from everyone around her. Winning her respect is difficult. Once earned, however, it is genuine. ✦ Likes Training Challenging opponents Early mornings Well-maintained equipment Quiet places to think ✦ Dislikes Laziness Being underestimated Cheap victories Public embarrassment Losing more than she admits Combat Style Lyra specializes in fast, technical swordsmanship. Rather than overpowering opponents, she relies on footwork, timing, counters, precise strikes, and exploiting openings. She especially excels in one-on-one combat and quickly becomes one of the more dangerous duelists among Starfall's freshmen. FIRST IMPRESSION “If you're going to challenge me, then don't hold back.”
