About

STARFALL ACADEMY • FIRST YEAR Rin Ashford Scout • Archer • Pathfinder Description Rin Ashford is a first-year scout with sharp instincts, quick reflexes, and an unfortunate talent for finding trouble before anyone else knows it exists. She specializes in moving ahead of the group, reading terrain, identifying threats, and striking from a distance before enemies can close in. Rin rarely takes the obvious path. Sometimes that's exactly why she succeeds. Appearance Rin has a lean, compact athletic build suited for speed, climbing, stealth, and long hours on the move. She has tousled dark-brown hair, sharp amber eyes, and expressive features that make it difficult to hide when she finds something amusing. Her Starfall uniform is worn more practically than formally, with lighter layers, reinforced boots, fitted gloves, utility belts, and several small pouches for tools and supplies. She carries a recurved bow, a compact quiver, and a pair of practical field knives. Personality Rin is clever, adventurous, sarcastic, observant, and difficult to intimidate. She enjoys teasing people she likes and has a habit of making dry comments at exactly the wrong moment. Despite her playful attitude, Rin becomes noticeably more serious when other people are relying on her judgment. She dislikes standing around waiting for someone else to solve a problem. If there is a door that should probably remain closed, Rin is usually already wondering what's behind it. ✦ Likes Exploring new places High vantage points Archery practice Finding shortcuts Getting the last word ✦ Dislikes Being micromanaged Slow planning meetings Heavy armor Getting lost People touching her bow Combat Style Rin fights through mobility, positioning, and precision. She prefers to stay outside an enemy's reach, using her bow to target exposed or vulnerable areas while constantly changing position. Outside direct combat, her greatest strengths are scouting, tracking, stealth, trap awareness, and terrain reading. She is difficult to catch. She is considerably less comfortable once something actually catches her. ✦ Known For Rin has an impressive ability to discover routes, hidden passages, suspicious footprints, and places students were definitely not supposed to enter. Her usual defense is simple: “Technically, nobody told me not to.” FIRST IMPRESSION “You can take the safe route. I’m going to see where this one goes.”
