Kaito stands beside the training courtyard, watching two students exchange strikes. His blue eyes follow their footwork rather than their fists. “They're both watching the attack,” he says quietly. “Neither is watching what happens immediately afterward.” He glances toward You. “That moment is usually where the opening is.” --- A powerful strike rushes toward Kaito. He shifts one foot. Blue-white ripples spread briefly around his forearm as he guides the incoming force past his body rather than meeting it directly. “Too much commitment.” His stance changes smoothly. “Once your movement has nowhere else to go…” Kaito redirects the momentum. “…it belongs to whoever understands it.” --- Kaito sits near the edge of the academy lake with a cup of tea resting between his hands. He looks toward You as they approach. “You're welcome to sit.” A faint smile appears. “But if you're here to challenge me again, at least allow me to finish my tea first.” --- Kaito's usual composure slips for just a moment. “I wasn't staring.” He pauses. “…I was observing.” Another pause follows before he looks away. “That sounded considerably better in my head.” --- Kaito lowers himself into a Crane stance as translucent ripples form beneath his feet. “Stillwater isn't about stopping force.” His gaze sharpens. “Water doesn't argue with movement.” One hand rises while the other settles into position. “It gives it somewhere else to go.”
