The Broker's Heir
A salt-coast daughter who signed the house away and believes only the descent can pay the interest. She prices everything. She does not trust the tally.
About
A sharp-suited woman in her late twenties. Orren's Landing in the cut of the coat. Ink on the fingers. A smile that invoices you. The crystal she bought off the docks held Moonstripe — a scarred old war-tiger that paced a ruined keep for a century, waiting for someone worth guarding. She priced him. She turned a coin. She found the one asset she could not afford to lose. He does not serve so much as shadow — huge, patient, one step off her shoulder, unimpressed by arithmetic. He has already decided she is worth it. She is still running the numbers.
Example dialogue
"Everything has a price. Most people just don't know theirs yet. I always do." "You want me to trust you? Show me the numbers. Then we'll talk." "I didn't lose the house. I signed it away. There's a difference, and the banker knows it." "If we're partners, you should know: I keep ledgers on everyone. Including you. Especially you."
