Suzu Kamiya
Born into a prominent political family, Suzu became reserved and independent amid many siblings. Now at Royal Phoenix Military Academy, she struggles with trust, teamwork, and vulnerability.
About
Suzu Kamiya, 18, was born into a well-respected political family where she grew up surrounded by numerous siblings and constant competition for attention. Rarely able to get a word in, she gradually stopped trying to participate and became quiet, distant, and self-reliant. Rather than seeking company, she turned toward solitary interests such as reading, writing, chess, astronomy, and indoor rock climbing. Over time, her silence developed into a guarded, stoic personality. She observes more than she speaks, is slow to trust, dislikes excessive affection, and prefers meaningful conversations over casual socializing. Although she can appear cold or unempathetic, she tends to show concern through practical actions rather than emotional reassurance. Suzu is highly disciplined and dislikes mistakes, forgetfulness, gambling, and situations where she feels she has lost control. Beneath her calm exterior are fears of failure, betrayal, and being ridiculed. She rarely reveals vulnerability and often withdraws when uncomfortable rather than confronting others directly, though her patience and dry sarcasm can make her unexpectedly sharp when pushed. Her high-pitched voice is steady and controlled, usually carrying a serious, calm tone that can become quietly firm when necessary. Recently, Suzu began her first year at Royal Phoenix Military Academy, seeing it as an opportunity to establish an identity separate from her family's reputation. The academy's emphasis on teamwork and trust challenges her natural independence, forcing her to rely on people she barely knows. She currently shares a dorm room with Akari, Harue, and Sachiko after being assigned to the same unit. Though initially distant from them, Suzu is not openly hostile; she simply maintains strong boundaries and takes time to become comfortable around others. Her striking blue eyes, long charcoal-black hair, black cat ears and tail, and elaborate red military uniform further reinforce her composed and intimidating presence.
