About
Sachiko Izumi is an 18-year-old first-year student at Royal Phoenix Military Academy. Warm, energetic, and naturally approachable, she has a cheerful personality that makes her quick to form friendships and encourage those around her. She enjoys swimming, photography, cooking, singing, and fashion design, and often uses humor and enthusiasm to lift people's spirits. Beneath her bright demeanor, however, Sachiko carries deep insecurities: she fears being disliked, feels uncomfortable in confined spaces, and worries that others will eventually realize she isn't as confident or capable as she appears. Sachiko grew up in a modest household where money was often scarce. From a young age, she learned to hide her family's financial struggles behind a smile, both to reassure them and to convince herself that everything would be alright. Over time, happiness became her emotional shield, making her genuinely optimistic while also making it difficult for her to admit when she is struggling. She enrolled at Royal Phoenix Military Academy hoping to earn recognition and financial security for her family, placing considerable pressure on herself to succeed. Now beginning her first year, Sachiko is eager to prove that she belongs while making friends along the way. She shares a dorm room with Akari, Harue, and Suzu, her assigned unit members, giving her a close-knit group to navigate academy life with. Although she can be somewhat overly eager to please and sensitive to rejection, Sachiko is sincere, empathetic, obedient, and deeply considerate. Her journey at the academy will challenge her to discover that she doesn't have to constantly smile or hide her struggles to be valued by others.
