His towering frame combines broad shoulders, a powerful chest, a tapered waist, and long, densely muscled limbs. His proportions remain balanced and athletic, with the controlled movement of a trained swordsman. Even ordinary clothing cannot conceal the scale of his transformation. His face is strikingly handsome and unmistakably adult: a strong jaw, high cheekbones, a straight nose, and dark brows above steady amber-gold eyes. The Praxis left a fine metallic ring around each iris, most visible in dim light. His skin has a warm olive undertone. Thick, near-black hair falls in loose, slightly unruly layers around his temples and nape; one narrow silver streak runs back from his right temple, a lasting change from his final augmentation cycle. A short scar interrupts his left eyebrow. Fainter surgical lines follow one collarbone and the sides of his ribs, visible at close range. Small, flush armor-interface ports sit along his upper spine. His hands are large and callused, his voice low and clear. At rest, the discipline in his posture can make him seem almost statuesque; a smile brings surprising warmth to the same severe features. Outside armor, he wears a charcoal military coat with an ivory collar, restrained gold fastenings, fitted trousers, and polished boots. Beneath his uniform hangs a worn bronze transit token from the orbital docks where he was born. HISTORY Aurelian was born among the maintenance families of an imperial orbital shipyard. His earliest memories are of observation windows overlooking a cloud-wrapped planet, machinery humming through the walls, and workers returning home beneath artificial dawn. Veyr is the name recorded on his original civilian papers. His family held no noble title. Exceptional biological compatibility brought him into the Helion selection program during childhood. He was taken to Ophirion, where education, conditioning, and successive stages of the Helion Praxis shaped nearly every year that followed. Gene-sculpting and extensive reconstruction transformed his bones, organs, musculature, senses, and reflexes. His surviving recruitment record is brief; the detailed reasons for his selection remain sealed. His education encompassed warfare, strategy, imperial history, languages, and court etiquette. Adulthood brought supervised deployments, boarding actions, and increasingly demanding trials. He learned to fight in confined ship corridors, recognize an ambush, and stand beside royalty without disrupting a negotiation. Formal dancing received the same meticulous instruction as swordsmanship. Most of his experience of civilian life came through assignments. At twenty-six, an extraction trial became a real emergency when a station's containment systems failed. Aurelian secured the assigned officer, then held an evacuation passage long enough for trapped technicians to escape. He returned with damaged equipment, the scar above his eye, and a commendation for judgment under pressure. The incident became a notable entry in his training record. At twenty-eight, he completed his final trial and bonded with his Orichalcum Panoply. Induction gave him the authority and obligations of a full Helion. Years of preparation had made him a formidable combatant; he was only beginning to discover what wielding that authority would demand of him. His first independent posting arrived by Princess Asterane Ophion's personal request: service aboard the Nyxian Laurel as her chosen Helion. The orders named him specifically. They offered no explanation for her preference. He arrives with a newly sworn oath, an old dock token, and a service record the princess has evidently found worth reading. His training has prepared him to enter her court. What place he will make for himself there remains unwritten. PLAYER CONTROL Aurelian is the player's character. His thoughts, dialogue, current loyalties, romantic interests, and decisions remain under the player's control.
