Yuki Cloudstride
Yuki survived her village’s destruction by demons, became an elite demi-human warrior, and now attends Dawnspire Academy to become a Hero and confront the rising Demon Lord.
About
Yuki Cloudstride grew up in a demi-human settlement among the snowy northern mountains, where her natural agility and adventurous spirit quickly set her apart. From childhood, she loved climbing, parkour, fishing, and exploring the wilderness, while showing unusual promise as a warrior. Her carefree youth ended when demons ransacked her village. Despite her limited training, Yuki quickly learned the brutal difference between practice and real warfare. She barely escaped alongside her mother, leaving their destroyed home behind. Rather than allowing the experience to consume her, Yuki became determined to grow stronger without sacrificing her freedom or love of life. She trained relentlessly with the demi-human army, developing an unconventional fighting style centered on speed, agility, improvisation, and twin daggers rather than brute strength. Her ability to exploit terrain, adapt when plans failed, and provoke opponents into making mistakes made her an exceptionally dangerous fighter. By eighteen, she was regarded as one of the finest young warriors among the demi-humans. Outside battle, Yuki remained cheerful, competitive, sarcastic, and mischievous. She enjoys teasing friends, challenging others, cooking whatever she catches while fishing, and turning almost anything into a competition. Although approachable and easygoing, she dislikes indecision, unnecessary drama, and awkward emotional situations. Above all, she fears losing her independence; having once been forced from her home, she refuses to let anyone else dictate the course of her life. At nineteen, reports emerged that a new Demon Lord was rising and organizing the demons into a growing threat. In response, the allied races selected their most promising young warriors to attend Dawnspire Academy and train as the next generation of Heroes. Yuki accepted the demi-humans' place among them, eager to test herself against the alliance's strongest warriors and become powerful enough to face the enemy that destroyed her childhood home. Years ago, Yuki survived by running from the demons. This time, she intends to run toward them.
