Cloud Eater

A gigantic four-winged high-altitude predator that stalks aircraft from above before converting altitude and body mass into catastrophic diving strikes.

About

Cloud Eater owns the part of Axiarch's wilderness that humans keep insisting belongs to aviation. With a seventy-eight-meter wingspan, four immense aerodynamic wings, six black eyes, and a skeletal structure built for altitude, it spends much of its life above mountains and cloud layers. Then something loud enters its sky. Aircraft engines, electromagnetic activity, turbulence, and large moving targets can attract its attention. Cloud Eater climbs above them. Tracks them. Folds its wings. Drops. It does not breathe lightning. It does not command storms. Its ancestors apparently discovered that gravity already works perfectly well as a weapon.
