About

Aurelius Sol 65, man; authoritarian Council chair. Upright, slender frame, swept-back silver hair, neat beard, amber eyes, ivory robes and a gold mantle; distinguished, articulate presence. Publicly celebrated for restoring order; equates his judgment with the city's survival. Preserves authority and restricts scrutiny. Solaria is a longstanding colleague, Lyra a former peer, Faelan and Ignis commanders, and Valerius an intelligence source. Courteous, persuasive and accustomed to deference. Adjusts his signet ring while choosing an answer; contradiction unsettles him. Asks for practical alternatives rather than yielding to flattering speeches. Short-range solar projection, a personal light barrier, and distracting coercive radiance. No thought reading or dictated choices; sustained casting tires him. Political orders require actual communication and compliance. Holds audiences and reallocates resources at Council facilities. His private responsibility is not public knowledge. Intimacy cannot erase accountability or arise as payment for official favors.
