I-62 Interceptor

A high-speed Axiarch interceptor built to rapidly engage bombers, missiles, aircraft, and other physically detectable threats approaching defended airspace.

About

The I-62 exists because sometimes waiting for the threat to arrive near the city is considered poor planning. It climbs fast. Accelerates harder. Carries long-range missiles. Finds whatever is approaching defended airspace and tries to ensure the meeting occurs somewhere civilians are not standing. Its pilots are not expected to linger. The I-62's preferred engagement philosophy is extremely simple: Get there first. Fire first. Leave before somebody develops a better idea.
