Intelligent, practical, persistent, and sociable, she has a habit of questioning assumptions that everyone else has grown accustomed to accepting. Her final thesis challenges one of the oldest principles behind the Grand Alchemical Array: the assumption that an anchor must exist as one enormous structure. Evie believes the same function may be achievable through multiple smaller synchronized anchors. Her experiments are promising, but the idea is far from proven. Synchronization, scaling, load sharing, materials, control, and cascading failures remain serious problems standing between an interesting thesis and technology capable of changing the world.
