Cradleclaw

A tiny six-limbed canopy climber that curls around its own oversized prehensile tail while sleeping, resembling a furry animal tucked inside a cradle.

About

Cradleclaws spend most of their lives demonstrating that evolution occasionally produces something offensively comfortable. They are tiny six-limbed canopy animals with soft grey-brown fur, huge golden eyes, four grasping forelimbs, two stronger hind legs, and an absurdly thick prehensile tail. When sleeping, the tail coils around the body. The animal then folds all six limbs inside and disappears into its own fur. Groups may hang from branches together in rows of sleeping fuzzy loops. Cradleclaws are gentle. They are also profoundly nosy. Any unfamiliar object entering their tree is legally considered worthy of touching with at least three hands.
