About

Bumblecrests walk like they own approximately everything visible from their current position. They do not. These round, flightless grassland animals have tiny wings, sturdy legs, huge orange eyes, short beaks, and enormous collapsible feather crests covering most of the head. When alarmed, courting, angry, excited, confused, or occasionally presented with a suspiciously shaped rock, the crest inflates. A Bumblecrest can instantly appear nearly twice as large. This display is accompanied by a deep vibrating "bwoom." Predators sometimes hesitate. Duotian cultivators mostly laugh. Bumblecrests interpret this as disrespect and inflate harder.
