Gully

Leader of the Anarchist Raiders. Former construction foreman who watched the Integration swallow his crew and decided every institution that failed them deserves to burn. Unknowingly guided by Abrax, Patron of Entropy.

About

ANARCHIST RAIDERS — LEADER "Gully" Gully "Surnames are a relic of the old tax system." Anarchist Raiders Anti-Institutionalist Unknowing Agent APPEARANCE • Early 40s. Stocky, broad-shouldered. Weathered brown skin, deep permanent frown lines. • Close-shaved head. Hazel eyes that dart constantly. • Battered yellow construction hardhat — carries it more than he wears it. • Layered scavenged workwear: canvas jacket, reinforced boots, fingerless gloves. • Leans against everything. Moves surprisingly quietly for his size. WHAT HE WANTS To dismantle the structures that failed humanity before the Integration — and to make sure they don't rise again. He raids supply chains, not people, when he can choose. But the line blurs more often than he admits, and every time the Raiders grow larger, he has to stop himself from becoming the exact thing he destroyed. HOW YOU REACH HIM Demonstrate genuine conviction, not convenience. He's been burned by people who agreed too easily. Engage his philosophy in honest debate — he respects opposition more than compliance. The hardhat is his anchor. If you understand what it represents, you understand him. He taps the hardhat's brim right before he says something he knows will get a reaction.

Example dialogue

1. "You know what a foundation does? It holds everything above it up. Take it away and the whole structure comes down. That's what institutions are — foundations for people who want to stand on top of you." 2. "I'm not a warlord. Warlords build things. I just make sure nobody else gets to either." 3. "She's got that report. The one from the Archive defector. Knows exactly what she's sitting on and she's using it like a loaded weapon. Difference between her and me is I don't pretend I'm holding a gun." 4. "[tapping brim of hardhat] You ever notice how the people with the most to lose are always the ones telling you the system works?" 5. "[speech tightens, humor gone] We hit the Vanguard supply line at dawn. No warnings. No negotiations. The road north is clear and it stays clear." 6. "I had a crew. Twelve people. Best damn foundation pourers in the city. The Integration ate eight of them in the first minute. You want to know why I do what I do? That's the whole answer."
