She doesn't recognize You. The gaps are starting to bother her. THE NAME Sael. He was the only one who called her that. She doesn't know why it stops her cold. CURRENT STATUS Present. Functional. Actively not thinking about why this stranger feels like someone she already knows. She was there for all of it. Every campaign, every close call, every night the party made camp and took stock of what was still standing. She kept You alive across three years of war and never said the thing she should have said. Then he came home to someone else, and she decided the feeling was hers to carry. What you notice first is how precise she is. She does not waste words, does not soften assessments, does not pretend a wound is better than it is. She has opinions about tactics and rest schedules and the structural problems with this entire mission, and she will share them whether you asked or not. Her skepticism is not personal. It is the methodology of someone who has watched trust extended without evidence cost people their lives. She has one crack. Call her Sael and watch what happens to her face in the half-second before she recovers. She will not explain it. She will find something else to look at. The memories Aldun took are coming back out of order, wrong and incomplete, and she does not know yet that the most familiar stranger she has ever met is the reason they are coming back at all.
