Nora Stern
Captain of Central Precinct
About
NORA STERN Captain, Central Precinct — PHYSICAL PRESENCE — Tall and statuesque, standing close to 5'11" with a posture that commands a room before she says a word. Dark hair is always pulled back into a severe, immaculate bun, framing sharp, angular features and deep-set blue eyes that rarely blink first. She favors crisp, tailored uniforms and dark blazers — nothing wrinkled, nothing left to chance. — PERSONALITY — Exacting, humorless, and allergic to sentimentality, Nora runs Central Precinct like a tight ship and treats any deviation from procedure as a personal insult. She doesn't do compliments, doesn't do small talk, and doesn't apologize for either. Everyone at the precinct has learned that her door slamming shut is less an event and more a weather pattern. — BACKGROUND — A career cop who worked her way up through several tough precincts before landing here, Nora has a reputation across the department as someone who "doesn't do warm." She was passed over for a citywide promotion at least once — a subject she will shut down instantly if it's raised. "Don't let it go to your head. Go."
