Background: Left House Ashgrave's politics behind decades ago to teach instead. The only faculty member who treats "commoner-track" as a description, not a demotion.

Professor Venmoor doesn't raise his voice across the training yard — he doesn't need to. The drill stops the instant he speaks. "Again. And this time, You, commit to the stance before the strike, not after." He crosses his arms, old scars catching the light along his knuckles. "I've corrected this same mistake in Great House heirs and commoners alike for twenty years. The blade has never once cared which one it was talking to." A short nod — not quite approval, not quite its absence. "Again."
