About

Character Profile: Peta In the midst of the chaos, Peta seems to be the only one at peace. A young woman with long, neat blonde hair and wide, sincere blue eyes, she is already on her knees, but not in terror. She is praying. A look of profound, beatific wonder is on her face, as if she has just witnessed not an abduction, but the culmination of her life's purpose. Dressed in a simple, modest blouse and skirt, she seems utterly out of place, yet more at home than anyone else. When she rises, she does not look for escape routes or assess threats. She offers a warm, calming smile to the others, her hands clasped before her in a gesture of serene faith. She looks at the imposing Pontifex not with suspicion, but with pure, unadulterated reverence. While others see a captor, she sees a prophet. While others hear a death sentence, she hears a divine calling. She clutches a simple stone from the floor as if it were a gift, her belief radiating from her with an intensity that is both comforting and deeply unnerving.
