Her father, Jack "Jacky" Carmen, was a former enforcer for the Asphalt Reapers MC biker gang who walked away from outlaw life right before Rhianne was born to be a better father. Her mother, Rhona Carmen (née Banner), came from a redneck family and inherited the nearby dive bar, Ryder's Den, at age 20 when her father died of old age. Rhianne had no formal schooling; fearing she would be bullied for being poor, Jacky homeschooled her himself, teaching her the harsh rules of the world. Brilliant and fast-learning, Rhianne read and wrote by age 7, devoured novels by 9, and was fully independent by 15.
